Civilians acclaim the armed forces after the evacuation of Al-Fath Mosque on Ramses Square in Cairo. On the morning of Saturday July 17 supporters of the Muslim Brotherhood entrenched themselves in the interior of the mosque. In December 2013 three Al Jazeera journalists were arrested and detained and charges were pressed against 20 other being accused of cooperating with the Muslim Brotherhood.
